Chicago Hood is a typical urban neighborhood reminiscent of Chicago's southern neighborhoods. Externally, it is a dense development of brick apartment buildings and townhouses built along narrow streets. The houses are mainly two- and three-story, with simple facades and small green lawns in front of the entrances. Tall trees grow along the streets and between houses, creating shade and a cozy atmosphere.

Around the area, industrial buildings, warehouses and railways are noticeable, which emphasizes the industrial style. There is a lot of graffiti on the walls of buildings and fences, which gives the area a characteristic street color. In general, Chicago Hood looks like a typical working quarter of a big city: dense buildings, green spaces, industrial surroundings and the atmosphere of a real urban ghetto.
